Production of radioactive nuclear beams at leading nuclear physics laboratories has made it possible to study nuclear structure up to the drip lines. Our group is involved in collaborative studies of the evolution of shell closure and in searching for drip-line effects in nuclear correlations.

The main interest of our group is the study of nuclei at the extremes of their spin, isospin and shape, studies of shape changes, the structure of chiral nuclei and very neutron-rich nuclei, with the use of large gamma-spectrometer arrays, often equipped with selective ancillary devices, e.g., the DIAMANT.

We evaluate nuclear-structure and decay data for isotopes belonging to the A=101–105 mass chains, and publish recommended values in the ENSDF online database and in Nuclear Data Sheets.

The research program is to investigate the ionization process at laser, VUV (Vacuum UltraViolet) and X-ray photons impact with a new method of 3D photoelectron spectroscopy. The energy and angular distribution of electrons ejected from photon – atom/molecule collisions are measured with the ESA-22-3D high energy resolution electron spectrometer.

It was recently discovered that slow, highly charged ions can pass through tilted insulating nanocapillary arrays. The guided transmission along the long channels is caused by the charges deposited on the walls. We systematically study this self-organizing phenomenon.
